Volunteer

The helping hand of friendship that a volunteer offers can give a frightened and discouraged victim the boost they need.

Without the dedication and compassion of volunteers, we could not sustain the level of assistance to those who have experienced domestic violence or sexual assault. It is an investment of time, talent and caring that our volunteers offer...an investment that is priceless to our agency and our clients.

Volunteer Training

Volunteers play a vital role in our operations. The services that DVIS/Call Rape volunteers provide have helped change many lives for the better.

Due to the nature of our work and the responsibility we entrust our volunteers, all applicants must be 18 years or older and are required to complete the following.

  • An application
  • $10 fee for background check
  • Interview with Volunteer Coordinator
  • Volunteer Training Program - a 12-16 hours training addressing domestic and sexual violence, community resources, confidentiality and more
  • Volunteer training is held quarterly. Volunteers are notified of upcoming training dates upon completion of the application, interview process and background check.
  • Contact us for more information.
