Kindness During the Holidays 12/6/2012
Here at DVIS/Call Rape, we are grateful every day, but these feelings are particularly amplified during the holidays. This week the gifts for our Adopt-a-Family holiday program are pouring in, and it’s overwhelming to witness the generosity of our community. Whether it’s an individual, group or a company, they each go beyond expectation to make sure our clients and their families have a happy holiday.
The development department had a chance to adopt and shop for one of our families in lieu of gifts to each other, and we transformed into Santa’s little elves while we shopped and wrapped gifts. It was so rewarding to give back in this way. 
The generosity is continuing with Books-A-Million at Tulsa Hills. Right now through Dec. 24, their Holiday Book and Toy Drive benefits DVIS/Call Rape. These books are going to stock the bookshelves in our children’s department, which has three locations, and be added as additional gifts for Adopt-a-Family.
Again, we are grateful every day for the kindness and generosity of our friends and donors. Right now we are especially thankful to each of you for bringing joy to our families during the holiday season.
